DK Letter 1

DK Letter 1

Once again, on Saturday 17th June we will have our final 3rd DK Tournament for all children from Darius Knight table tennis academies around London. I'd like to show my appreciation to everyone who gave up valuable time to support their children for the duration of the competition for the past summer term. Essentially, the idea behind inviting you all along was so that you could see first hand how your children have evolved, not only as very capable table tennis players, but more importantly as disciplined individuals with burgeoning skills that transcend sport.

I'm sure you all appreciate that DK as an organisation endeavors to add value to each and every individual enrolled on my program, whether it be the school league, training camps or competition. It's a well trodden path, in fact the same path I followed which instilled virtues such as work ethic, commitment and shaped me as a person and made me who I am (successful athlete/businessman) today.

On a personal note, it was great to see so many of you getting involved and trying your hand at table tennis. Let's hope we will get the same turnout next Saturday.

It was satisfying to see so many of you enjoying yourself and I'm sure there is a greater  awareness of how technical and intricate the game of table tennis is. The structure that one has to follow and adhere to, not only results in an enjoyable experience, but manifests in so many other enriching ways outside the confines of the table tennis hall.

Personally, table tennis has allowed me to travel all over the world, to places I could only previously dream about. The opportunity to embrace other cultures has been invaluable - I'm really appreciative of how diverse we are as people yet at the same time so similar by nature. I'm now a fiercely ambition person, with great communication skills determined to give something back and share my life experiences through the power of sport.

I'm a firm believer that the attention to detail that table tennis prowess affords, will reflect your child's educational attainment going forward. So parents, let's strive for one hour per week and continue this holistic enriching experience.
